Biomaterials
Biomaterials are materials used in medical devices and treatments that interact with living systems. They are designed to coordinate and collaborate with natural body systems, and to provide a beneficial effect upon use. Biomaterials are used for a broad range of applications, including drug delivery, artificial organs, and medical implants. They play an essential role in the healthcare system by providing essential treatments that would not be possible without them. They offer many advantages, including being biocompatible, customizable, and longer lasting than traditional treatments, making them an important tool in helping patients heal and improving quality of life.
