Enzyme Kinetics

Enzyme kinetics is the study of the speed at which enzymes catalyze chemical reactions. It is used to determine the rates of different biochemical reactions and obtain an understanding of how enzymes interact with substrates to form products. By understanding how enzymes work, scientists are able to create drugs that can interact with enzymes in order to modify the speed of reactions and treat diseases. Enzyme kinetics is also essential for the development of effective industrial bioprocesses.
