Recombinases

Recombinases are enzymes that catalyze the rearrangement of DNA sequences through a process called recombination. These enzymes are essential for genetic engineering, as they are used to introduce specific genetic modifications into organisms. In medicine, they are used to transfer therapeutic genes into cells, while in agriculture they are used to develop genetically modified crops with increased yields and resistance to pests and diseases. Recombinases are also used in the development of gene therapy and in the diagnosis of genetic diseases.
