Hematopoietic Stem Cells
Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) are a type of stem cell that can be found in the bone marrow. They are responsible for producing all the cells in the blood, including red and white blood cells, and platelets. HSCs have the ability to differentiate into many different types of cells and can be used to treat an array of diseases such as blood disorders, genetic disorders, and immune system disorders. In addition, HSCs are widely researched in regenerative medicine, as they could potentially be used to replace damaged or missing cells, tissue, or organs.
