Microenvironment
The microenvironment is a term used to describe the environment close to and above the surface of living organisms. It includes the air, soil, water, and other small and large organisms within the organism's immediate surroundings. It is of particular importance to determine which organisms, nutrients, and other factors affect the health of the organism and its environment. Microenvironmental factors include temperature, light, moisture, and pH. Microenvironment management is an important part of environmental management as it can significantly reduce damage to the environment, wildlife, and human health. It has been used to improve crop yields by limiting the amount of pests and diseases, and to improve the health of fish and other aquatic species by controlling water quality.
