Peripheral Blood Stem Cells
Peripheral blood stem cells (PBSCs) are blood-forming cells that are typically collected from a donor's blood. These stem cells are responsible for generating new blood in the body, such as red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. PBSCs can be used for a number of medical treatments, such as for treating cancers, anemias, and blood disorders. The stem cells can also be used to repair damaged tissue and restore functioning to damaged organs and tissues. PBSCs are an important tool in modern medicine, as they offer a relatively safe and effective way to replace lost or damaged cells, and to treat a range of systemic conditions.
