Stem Cell Diseases
Stem Cell Diseases are medical conditions caused by abnormalities in the development, function, and proliferation of stem cells, either in the body or from donor sources. These diseases can have a major impact on a person's quality of life and can even be life-threatening. The most common examples include leukemia, myelodysplasia, thalassemia, and aplastic anemia. Research into stem cell-based therapies is ongoing and shows great potential for treating and curing these and many other diseases. Additionally, stem cells are also being tested for their potential to regenerate damaged tissue, enabling tissue recovery from injuries, such as in spinal cord injuries.
