Toxicity Screening
Toxicity screening is the evaluation of a substance or a mixture of substances for the potential to cause adverse health effects, such as damage to the heart, lungs, or other organs. It is an important tool in evaluating the safety of a substance, and is used to identify potential hazards and inform decisions on how best to protect the public from adverse health effects of the substance. Toxicity screening is also used to assess potential environmental impacts, and can be used to identify potential occupational hazards. Additionally, toxicity screening is a key component of drug discovery, helping to identify new drugs with desirable properties as well as identify potential toxicities before entering trials.
