Occular Toxicology

Ocular toxicology is a branch of toxicology that examines the effects of toxins on the eyes. It studies the damage caused by exposures to a variety of toxins including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and environmental pollutants. This research is vital in assessing the potential risks of exposure to such substances and helping to develop treatments to protect the eyes from damage. Ocular toxicology is used in occupational safety and health, for drug development, and in diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. It is also used in the development of eye protection equipment and in the design of preventive measures to reduce harm from potentially hazardous substances.
