Gynecology
Gynecology is a medical specialty focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and care of women's reproductive health. Gynecologists are healthcare professionals trained to provide comprehensive health services to women, often focusing on diseases of the female reproductive system. Gynecology services can include contraception, fertility counseling, prenatal and postnatal care, health promotion and disease prevention, and diagnosis and treatment of reproductive health conditions. Gynecology helps to prevent and treat health problems that can affect a woman's ability to have a healthy pregnancy and birth, or to maintain optimal reproductive health. Gynecologists also play a key role in the early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of reproductive cancers, such as cervical, endometrial, and ovarian cancer.
