Vaginitis
Vaginitis is an inflammation of the vagina and vulva, which can occur due to infection, irritation, or allergies. It is a very common condition, particularly in women aged 15-44. Symptoms of vaginitis can include abnormal discharge, itching, pain and a burning sensation in the vagina. Treatment depends on the cause of the condition, and may include antibiotics, topical creams, vaginal suppositories, or oestrogen-replacement therapy. Vaginitis is important to diagnose and treat promptly, as untreated cases can lead to complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility.
