Antifungals
Antifungals are drugs or compounds used to treat fungal infections. They work by disrupting vital processes in the fungi, preventing their growth and reproduction. Antifungal medications are used to treat skin, nail, and other fungal infections, such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and yeast infections. They are also used to treat fungal infections of the mouth and throat, the lungs, and other internal organs. Antifungals may be taken orally or applied directly to the site of infection. They are important in controlling and preventing the spread of fungal infections, which can be serious and even life-threatening if left untreated.
