Candida Auris

Candida auris is a species of fungus that is increasingly recognized as an emerging multi-drug resistant pathogen in humans. It is capable of causing serious infections in hospitals and healthcare facilities, especially in those with weakened immune systems. It is particularly dangerous due to its ability to withstand many common disinfectants and antifungal treatments. C. auris has been associated with outbreaks in healthcare facilities, resulting in higher rates of mortality and hospital readmissions. It is important to be vigilant in controlling and containing its spread, as it can cause serious infections if not properly managed.
