Lobectomy
Lobectomy is a commonly used surgical procedure that involves the removal of a lobe, or section, of the lung. This procedure is often used to treat lung cancer, as well as other conditions, such as tuberculosis and benign lung diseases. By removing the affected part of the lung, the healthy parts can remain and allow for normal functioning. Lobectomy is a life-saving procedure that can be used to treat serious respiratory diseases. In addition to treating cancer and other diseases, a lobectomy can also be used to reduce the size of a tumor or cyst, which can help improve breathing capacity for those suffering from certain pulmonary diseases.
