Molecular Phylogeny
Molecular phylogeny is the use of molecular data such as DNA or protein sequences to study evolutionary relationships between organisms. It is an important tool for understanding how species evolved and how they are related to each other. It can be used to identify new species, infer phylogenies and compare DNA or protein sequences from different organisms. Molecular phylogeny is also important for conservation efforts, evolutionary research and medical applications. Additionally, it can be used to analyze the history of human populations or to reconstruct ancient or extinct organisms.
