Skin Fungal Infections
Skin fungal infections are caused by the growth of fungus or yeast on the surface of skin. These fungal infections can cause itching, redness, and irritation, and can also affect the nails and hair follicles. Treatment for fungal infections typically consists of antifungal creams or ointments, and in more severe cases, oral antifungal medications. Skin fungal infections are very common, especially among people with weakened immune systems, and can occur in both healthy individuals and those with underlying medical conditions. Skin fungal infections can be prevented by maintaining good hygiene, avoiding sharing clothing or towels, and keeping the skin clean and dry.
