Genetically Modified Animal
Genetically modified animals (GMAs) are animals whose genes have been modified in a lab by scientists. In GMAs, scientists add, delete, or modify genes to create animals with specific traits. GMAs can have various applications, such as better production of food, medicines, or materials, and be used to study diseases and treatments. They can also serve to develop new therapeutic treatments for humans and animals, and to fight and prevent biological threats. As GMAs are developed and used in increasingly advanced ways, the potential for them to revolutionize modern medicine and biotechnology is only beginning to be realized.
