Genotyping

Genotyping is the process of determining an individual's genetic makeup in terms of their DNA sequence. It is a valuable tool for many applications, such as diagnosing and treating genetic diseases, predicting an individual's likelihood of developing certain conditions, identifying genes related to traits of interest, and tracing the ancestry of individuals. Genotyping can also be used in plant and animal breeding programs to select individuals with desired traits. Furthermore, it can be used to develop personalized treatments for diseases, such as cancer. Therefore, genotyping is a powerful tool for medical and scientific research, as well as for personal health management.
