Linkage Analysis
Linkage Analysis is a statistical process used in genetics to identify possible genetic links between two or more traits. It is used to identify genetic markers that may be associated with a particular disease or medical condition. Linkage Analysis is also used in other areas of medicine, such as epidemiology and population genetics, to study familial links between diseases and to map genes related to particular traits. Linkage Analysis has become a powerful tool for understanding the genetic basis of many diseases and for studying the inheritance of complex traits. The results obtained from this analysis can help to identify novel treatments or interventions that may be of benefit to those affected by a particular genetic condition.
