Long Non-Coding Rnas
Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a type of non-coding RNA molecule whose length is greater than 200 nucleotides. LncRNAs are involved in diverse biological processes such as gene regulation, chromatin modification, and epigenetics. Increasing evidence suggests that lncRNAs play a key role in many diseases and conditions, including cancer. They can be used as therapeutic targets for treating various diseases as well as as novel biomarkers for diagnosis of various diseases. LncRNAs will likely play an important role in the development of precision medicine and personalised healthcare in the future.
