Sequence Analysis
Sequence analysis is a branch of bioinformatics that is used to study the order of nucleotides or amino acids in a DNA or protein sequence. It is used to identify patterns, motifs, similarities, and differences in sequences between species to gain more insight into the underlying biological processes. It is also used to develop and optimize new algorithms for analyzing genomic data, and to interpret the data to gain knowledge about the function and structure of genomes. Sequence analysis is a powerful tool for understanding the mechanisms of evolutionary change, and has many applications in biotechnology.
