Structural Bioinformatics
Structural bioinformatics is a scientific field which combines elements of biology, biochemistry, computer science, and mathematics to study the three-dimensional structure of biological molecules, such as proteins and nucleic acids. Structural bioinformatics is important as it provides insight into how these molecules interact and self-organize to perform numerous vital functions in living organisms.
