Biochemistry
Biochemistry is an important field of study within human health research that aims to understand the chemical processes that occur within biological systems. Essentially, biochemistry examines the molecular basis of life, looking at how cells and organisms function at the biochemical level. Researchers in biochemistry examine how molecules interact within cells, how enzymes catalyze biochemical reactions, and how metabolic pathways function within living organisms.
