Pathophysiology
Pathophysiology is the scientific study of diseases, the changes to the body caused by them, and the effect of this on the body's functioning. It is a crucial part of medical practice as it helps us to understand how and why a particular disease occurs and how it can be best treated and managed. Pathophysiology involves studying the interactions between the physiological systems of the body, its organs, tissues, and cells, and the changes that occur during the course of a disease. It also includes understanding how a disease affects the patient's quality of life, as well as the direct and indirect effects of the disease on society as a whole.
