Vaccines and Pregnancy
Vaccines are crucial in helping to protect pregnant women and their unborn babies from dangerous and potentially deadly infectious diseases. Vaccines stimulate the body’s immune system to produce antibodies against specific diseases and can help to reduce the risk of complications that may occur during pregnancy. Vaccines can also reduce the potential for transmission of the disease to the baby either during pregnancy or after birth. Vaccines are recommended for all pregnant women, regardless of their immunization history, to ensure the best protection against disease-causing germs.
