Neuromuscular Disorder
Neuromuscular disorder refers to a group of diseases that affect the functioning of the muscles and control by nerves. These disorders can cause muscle weakness, paralysis, and impaired movement, breathing, and speech. Neuromuscular disorders can be genetic, infectious, traumatic, or environmental in origin. Early diagnosis and treatment are important for improving outcomes and quality of life. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy are commonly used to help manage symptoms.
