Spinal Cord Injury
A spinal cord injury (SCI) is a traumatic injury to the spinal cord that causes temporary or permanent changes in its function. This can result in paralysis, loss of sensation and movement, and even loss of bladder and bowel control. SCI is a debilitating condition and can have a severe impact on an individual's quality of life. Treatment options range from surgery to medications and physical therapy, and can help reduce the symptoms and complications associated with SCI. With advances in medical technology and an increasing understanding of the condition, individuals with SCI are able to live a fulfilling and independent life.
