Allergic Rhinitis

Allergic rhinitis is an allergic reaction that affects the nose, causing symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, runny nose, and itching. It typically occurs when a person is exposed to an allergen, such as pet dander, pollen, mold, or dust mites. Treatment options for allergic rhinitis may include avoiding the allergen, oral antihistamines, decongestants, corticosteroid nasal sprays, and immunotherapy. Allergic rhinitis is a common health problem, and its prevalence is increasing in many countries. It can affect quality of life and cause sleep disruption, concentration difficulties, and impaired school and work performance. Proper diagnosis and treatment of allergic rhinitis can improve patient outcomes and help prevent long-term complications.
