Phosphoserine

Phosphoserine is an essential amino acid and an important building block of proteins in the human body. It is an amphiphilic molecule consisting of a phosphate group and an amino acid, serine. It is found in high levels in the brain and is important for cognitive development and memory. In the body, phosphoserine helps regulate energy metabolism and fatty acid synthesis, and it is important for proper nerve and muscle function. Additionally, it has been studied for its potential use in treatments of Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, as well as for its ability to modulate glucose levels in diabetics. Phosphoserine can be found in various dietary sources and can be synthesised from serine in bacteria and yeast.
