Cardiac Anesthesiology
Cardiac anesthesiology is a specialty of medicine that focuses on caring for patients who are undergoing cardiac surgery or other cardiopulmonary procedures, such as coronary artery bypass grafting. A cardiac anesthesiologist monitors and administers drugs and anesthetics during the procedure, in order to ensure the patient's safety and maximize their comfort. The anesthesiologist also monitors the patient's vital signs and communicates with the surgical team to optimize the patient's outcome. Cardiac anesthesiology is a vital part of the care team and helps to ensure the optimal outcomes for patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
