Diarrhea

Diarrhea is an abnormally frequent and loose bowel movement, normally caused by viruses, bacteria, or parasites. It is a very common condition, affecting both adults and children, and can cause dehydration if left untreated. Diarrhea is an important condition to treat as it can also be an indication of a more serious underlying condition. Treatment and prevention of diarrhea vary depending on the cause. In most cases, rest, plenty of fluids, and dietary changes can help improve symptoms. Some medications may also be needed to help with diarrhea and the underlying condition.
