Field Block
Field Block is a method of controlling pain during surgery. It is a minimally invasive, regional nerve block that provides pain relief to parts of the body during or after surgery. The procedure involves injecting small amounts of local anesthetic and/or steroids around a large nerve bundle to block pain signals from the area. Field Block is safe and can be used to treat patients of any age. It is commonly used in orthopedic and trauma surgeries, allowing for a more comfortable recovery period and potentially reducing the amount of opioid medication needed after surgery. Additionally, it can be used to control pain in cases of chronic conditions such as post-herpetic neuralgia and for early rehabilitation after surgery. Field Block is an effective and safe way to control pain, allowing for a faster recovery and improved quality of life for patients.
