Antiparasitic Agents
An antiparasitic agent is a type of drug or chemical used to destroy or manage parasites. They are used to treat and prevent diseases caused by parasites, such as malaria, schistosomiasis, filariasis, and amoebiasis, as well as parasitic infections in animals and livestock. Antiparasitic agents are also used to reduce the risk of infection and transmission of parasites from person to person. They can be used alone or in combination with other drugs and treatments to optimize their effectiveness. Antiparasitic agents are important medications in controlling a wide range of parasitic diseases, reducing the risk of transmission, and improving the quality of life for people who are infected with parasites.
