Cell?therapeutics
Cell therapeutics refers to the use of living cells or their components as therapeutic agents to treat diseases. It involves introducing healthy cells into the body to replace dysfunctional or missing cells, or optimise the body’s own cells to restore or improve its function. Cell therapeutics is a rapidly expanding field and holds the potential to revolutionise the treatment of many diseases such as cancer, diabetes and genetic disorders. It has the potential to be safer and more effective than traditional treatments like drugs or surgery and could lead to better patient outcomes.
