Epigenetics & Transcription

Epigenetics is the study of how environmental and genetic factors interact to determine gene expression. Transcription is the process by which information from DNA is turned into mRNA, which is then translated into proteins. Together, epigenetics and transcription play a crucial role in how cells develop and function, and they are essential to maintain a healthy body. In particular, epigenetics can influence the development of diseases such as cancer and heart disease, as well as healthy aging. Understanding epigenetics and transcription can also help researchers design better treatments for these diseases and develop preventive measures to help people live longer and healthier lives.
