Cholera
Cholera is a highly contagious and potentially fatal disease caused by the Vibrio cholerae bacteria. It is spread through contaminated water or food, and it is most common in areas without good sanitation and access to clean drinking water. Symptoms of cholera include severe diarrhea, vomiting, and rapid dehydration. Without treatment, cholera can be very dangerous and even deadly. Treatment typically consists of rehydration, antibiotics, and improved sanitation. Cholera is a major public health problem in many parts of the world and preventing its spread is crucial to reducing its prevalence.
