Control of Organs Transplantation Infection
Organ transplantation infection control is the process of preventing infections, including viral, bacterial, and other types of infections, among patients who have undergone an organ transplant. Proper infection control measures can reduce the risk of post-transplant complications, ensuring a higher rate of successful organ transplants. Infection control measures include pre-operative testing of donors and recipients, proper cleaning of the surgical area, and post-operative monitoring of patients to detect any signs of early infection. In addition, the use of antibiotics, antivirals, and other medications can reduce the risk of acquiring a post-transplant infection. These infection control measures are essential for ensuring successful organ transplant surgeries, and for the patient’s well-being.
