Disinfection and Sterilization
Disinfection and sterilization are important processes which reduce the number of microbes on surfaces or in a specific environment by using chemical or physical methods. Disinfection is a process which removes or destroys most of the harmful microorganisms from an object, whereas sterilization is a process which involves the destruction of all microorganisms, including beneficial and harmful microorganisms, from an object. Both processes can be used in medical, manufacturing, water treatment and other industries, and their use is essential in maintaining a hygienic environment. Disinfection is used to reduce the amount of harmful microbes on a surface or in the environment, and it can also help to reduce cross-contamination and the spread of diseases. In addition, sterilization can help to prevent the spread of diseases and to ensure that equipment meets health and safety regulations.
