Enterobacteriaceae
Enterobacteriaceae are a large family of Gram-negative bacteria that inhabit the intestines of animals, including humans. They are a significant component of the gut microbiota and are important for maintaining the balance and health of the gut environment. Enterobacteriaceae have been used extensively in research and clinical applications, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, diagnosis and treatment of infection, and the production of food and beverage products. The pathogenic members of this family can cause serious human diseases, such as gastrointestinal and urinary tract infections, septicemia and meningitis. Therefore, research on Enterobacteriaceae is essential for the development of scientific knowledge, clinical treatments and preventive strategies.
