Gynecologic Infections
Gynecologic infections are infections that affect the female reproductive system. These infections can be caused by bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms, and can cause serious health risks if left untreated. Symptoms of gynecologic infections can include abnormal vaginal discharge, pain or burning during urination, itching, and abdominal pain. Left untreated, gynecologic infections can lead to infertility, pelvic inflammatory disease, and even cancer. Treatment for gynecologic infections usually involves antibiotics. It is important for women to be aware of the signs and symptoms of these infections, and to seek medical attention if they experience any of them.
