Hiv Diagnosis and Management
HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is both a global and life-threatening virus that attacks and weakens the immune system. Early diagnosis and management of HIV are key in order to improve the health and prolong the life of those infected. Diagnosis of HIV is typically conducted through blood or saliva tests. Once the diagnosis has been made, treatment options can be explored to help manage the virus and control its progression. Types of treatments include antiretroviral therapy, preventive treatments, vaccines, and lifestyle interventions. Early diagnosis and effective management of HIV can reduce the risk of transmission, as well as improve the quality of life of those living with the virus.
