Homeland Security
Homeland Security is an umbrella term for the measures taken by the United States to ensure national security and the safety of its citizens. Homeland Security focuses on protection from physical threats, economic disruption and cyber security both domestically and abroad. Homeland Security implements and establishes policies and initiatives such as the Transportation Security Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the United States Coast Guard, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, and the United States Secret Service. These entities are responsible for enhancing the security of the United States through prevention of terrorism, emergency management, border security and immigration control, cybersecurity, port security, and other national security objectives. Homeland Security plays a critical role in keeping the United States safe and secure. The policies and initiatives implemented by Homeland Security are vital to the protection of America, its citizens, and its interests.
