Neuro Psychology
Neuropsychology is a branch of psychology that focuses on the relationship between the brain and behaviour. It investigates cognitive processes such as learning, memory, perception, attention, and language, as well as emotional and behavioural changes resulting from a neurological disorder or injury. Neuropsychology applies the knowledge of the brain and its functions to the diagnosis and treatment of psychological issues and disorders. It also uses neuroimaging tools like MRIs and CT scans to study the structure and function of the brain, and to gain insights into brain-related disorders. Neuropsychology is a rapidly growing field, with implications for various areas of research, clinical practice, and education. It is increasingly being used to help diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological and mental health issues, including Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and depression. Neuropsychology also helps medical professionals and therapists to understand the causes of cognitive, emotional, and behavioural changes, and to develop targeted treatments that can improve the quality of life for people of all ages.
