Sexology
Sexology is the scientific study of human sexuality, including its biological, psychological, and social aspects. It involves examining topics such as sexual behavior, sexual attraction, gender identities, gender roles and sexual orientation. Its primary aim is to help individuals and couples understand their sexual health, capabilities, and limitations in order to promote healthy, safe, and ethical sexual behaviors. Sexology addresses a variety of topics, such as reproductive health, fertility, contraception, mental health, sexual dysfunctions, physical disabilities, and more. Additionally, sexology contributes to the understanding of social and cultural attitudes, values, and beliefs related to sexual behaviors and identities. Sexology can also be used to inform decisions about legal, political, and ethical issues concerning sexuality.
