Social Welfare
Social Welfare is an interdisciplinary area of study that looks at how people, organizations, and governments interact to create public policies and maintain a socially responsible society. It explores the roles of governments, non-profit organizations, and other providers in the provision of services and financial assistance to those in need. Social Welfare examines how social policies and programs can be used to help promote social justice, improve quality of life, and reduce inequalities. Its primary goal is to ensure that all citizens have access to the same opportunities and resources, regardless of their social or economic backgrounds. Social Welfare is a critical component of creating a healthy, just, and equitable society and is therefore a key factor in achieving social and economic development.
