Mediastinal Diseases
Mediastinal diseases are conditions that affect the area of the body known as the mediastinum. The mediastinum is a space located between the lungs, behind the breastbone, and in front of the spine. These conditions may involve the organs, tissues, or lymph nodes of the mediastinum. They often lead to breathing difficulties, chest pain, shortness of breath, and/or other symptoms. Treatment may involve medications, lifestyle changes, or surgery. Early detection and prompt treatment are essential in providing effective care for people with mediastinal diseases.
