Pulmonary Fibrosis
Pulmonary fibrosis is a serious and irreversible lung disease that occurs when lung tissue becomes scarred, thickened, and stiff, making it difficult to breathe. This can lead to shortness of breath and a decrease in oxygen levels in the blood. Pulmonary fibrosis can be caused by a variety of factors, including exposure to certain pollutants, radiation, and drugs. It is also associated with certain autoimmune and genetic disorders. Treatment options for pulmonary fibrosis include medications, lung transplantation, and lifestyle changes. Early diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary fibrosis is essential in order to improve patient outcomes.
