Thoracic Diseases
Thoracic disease is a broad term used to refer to any medical condition or illness that affects the thorax, or chest area. The thorax helps protect the lungs, heart, and other vital organs from injury and infection. Thoracic diseases can range from minor infections to major organ dysfunction, and include conditions such as asthma, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), pneumothorax, pneumonitis, pneumonia, and more. Treatment for these diseases often requires a combination of medications, surgery, lifestyle changes, and lifestyle management. Thoracic disease is a serious health concern, with potentially life-threatening complications if not managed properly. Early detection and treatment of thoracic diseases is key to avoiding serious health consequences.
