Implementation in the Public Health
Sector Public health implementation is the process of putting public health policies and practices into action in order to improve the overall health of a population. The implementation of public health measures plays an important role in protecting and promoting public health. This includes the recognition of potentially infectious diseases and their transmission routes, the promotion of healthy lifestyle behaviors, the regulation of hazardous substances and activities, the provision of effective health care services, and the promotion of equitable access to health resources. Public health implementation also includes the management of public health systems, the development of public health research, the assessment of health care quality, the formulation of evidence-based public health strategies, and the evaluation of public health interventions. Through these efforts, public health can help to reduce health disparities and improve population health.
