Pharmacology

Pharmacology is the study of the effects of drugs on living organisms. It is a branch of medicine that deals with the therapeutic action of drugs on the body, their absorption and elimination, and their mechanisms of action. Pharmacological research helps to understand how drugs interact with biological systems, including the processes involved in disease and health, and helps to create effective treatments for different medical conditions. Pharmacology also plays an important role in the formulation of healthcare policies, development of new drugs and understanding of drug resistance.
